To connect the resistive humidity sensor was not so hard. I connected an ouput port to a 1 kOhm resistor and from there to the sensor and then to ground. I measure the voltage across the sensor and use it as an input to a table. I also have to keep track of the temperature. This is done by the internal temperature sensor in the CPU.

The hardest thing was to calibrate it. By locking the sensor and a referense sensor inside a box which I sprayed with water I managed to get the humidity above 90 %. This can be seen on the picture which shoves a quickly aged sensor.
